La-Brasiliana Keratin treatment with collagen (The Brasilian Blow Dry) is a revolutionary process that transforms your hair. The treatment is keratin based. Keratin is the primary protein of the hair, skin and nails. This natural substance gives hair the ability to return to its original healthy, shiny, smooth state while collagen improves the elasticity of the hair.

Unlike other products available on the market, such as creme relaxers or the Japanese straightening system, La-Brasiliana Keratin treatment with Collagen replenishes the condition of the hair without damage or change to the molecular structure. The treatment can be used on all hair types such as chemically treated hair, coloured, permed, relaxed, straightened, highlighted and bleached hair.

The application process takes anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hours depending on the length and thickness of the hair. After application of the product, it is infused with a 450 degree flat iron, which seals in moisture, hydrates the hair, and creates a glossy finish. Results are visible immediately after treatment is completed. You will be amazed to say the least!

La-Brasiliana contains no formaldehyde and therefore is the safest way to eliminate frizz, soften, smooth and increase the shine of your hair.

The results last two to four months; the treatment dissipates gradually over time as your hair is shampooed.

Hooka Senior Stylist wins at L'Oreal Colour Trophy

Jon Wraight from Hooka on Wood Street has been chosen as one of Britains seven most talented and exciting young hairdressers from across the country. Jon has won a highly acclaimed Young Colourist Award and will now be part of the exciting NEW 2011 L’Oreal Professional Colour Academy, created and designed to support and nurture the colour icons of the future.

On Monday 4th July over 100 of the hairdressing industries most high profile and successful figures gathered at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London for the prestigious 56th annual awards to witness Jon being presented with his award by the ever cool Radio One Presenter Sara Cox .

Each year over over 1200 photographic entries pour into the L’Oreal competition with before and after transformation images for the Young Colourist Category. Only five entries per seven regions were chosen to make it through to the live finals in Manchester and London. Jon was one of the 35 finalists to put their raw technical skills to the test live during two main challenges of T Section Highlights and Creative Colour, each task included a strict judging criteria including equipment usage, precision placement, colour choices and the overall look amongst others.

Phill has been working in the hairdressing industry for over twenty years with numerous awards and award nominations under his belt.

Also having worked on a number of fashion shows, shot here and abroad, from London Fashion Week and Fashion Rock in Monaco to the pages of magazines such as Elle, Glamour and Wonderland. Within the twenty years he has also directed hair for TV shows like Britain s Next Top Model, Project Catwalk,The Clothes Show and industry hair shows over the world.

Sarah-Jayne has been working in hairdressing for over eight years now, she carried out her training at Liverpool community college where she completed her NVQ hairdressing level 1,2 & 3.
